Mitred Archpriest, Paul "Red" White, 78 , of West Mifflin, formerly of Wilkes Barre, died Sunday, January 25, 2015. He was born September 21, 1936 in Homestead and was the son of the late Sue Maxwell White (John) Homer and the late Reynolds White. He was the husband of the late Matushka Pauline Babilya White who died April 22, 2010. Father Paul was a graduate of St. Tikhon's Seminary, South Canaan and was Ordained as a Priest in December 1970 at Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary Russian Orthodox Church, McKeesport. He served at St's Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church in Crossingville, St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church in Monessen, St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church in Masontown and St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Wilkes Barre for 28 years. He was a member of Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary Russian Orthodox Church in McKeesport and the Church Choir there, the Pittsburgh Russian Orthodox Male Chorus, and the Northeastern Balalaika Group. He is survived by his sons, David (Kera) White of Memphis, TN, and Mark White of West Mifflin, daughters, Tanya (Very Rev. Andrew D.) Nelko of Campbell, OH, and Natasha (Rev. Dimitri D.) Ermakov of West Mifflin, grandchildren, Kristianna, Anastasia, Andrew, Nathanael, Nadia, Tatyana, Justina, Mark, Samantha, Kristina, Alexandra, Natalia, Ksenia, Maria and Dimitri, II., and great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Lily and Yelena. Friends are welcome Wednesday January 28 from 2-4 and 6-9:00 PM at Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary Russian Orthodox Church, 330 Shaw Avenue, McKeesport. Panihida Service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 PM. Visitation will be held Thursday January 29 from 5-9:00 PM at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 58 Seneca Street, Wilkes Barre. Burial of a Priest Service will be held Thursday at 7:00 PM. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday January 30 at 9:30 AM, with Very Rev. Andrew D. Nelko and Rev. Dimitri D. Ermakov, officiating. Burial will follow in St's Peter and Paul Cemetery, Centralia.
