David L. Hughes

David Lindsay Hughes, 75, of Forward Twp., died Tuesday, December 23, 2014. He was born July 11, 1939 in Donora and was the son of the late Lindsay and Rose Marie Scott Hughes. Dave was a retired Machinist and had worked for Elizabeth Carbide and the former Consolidated Machine Co. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie J. Eicher Hughes, daughters, Margaret "Peggy" (Tony) Hart of Elizabeth Twp., and Jean (Gary) Sames of Bentleyville, brothers, Charles Hughes of Belle Vernon, and John (Jean) Hughes and Lawrence Hughes of Strongsville, OH, grandchildren, Jason Hart and Meghan and Ian Sames, great-grandson, Kaden Hart, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, James Curtis Hughes who died April 3, 2014 and grandson, David Hart who died March 8, 2012. Friends are welcome Saturday, December 27 from 4-8:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, December 27, at 8:00 PM with The Rev. Jack Piper, officiating. Private interment will be in the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
