Edward Burris Witzell

Edward Burris Witzell, 91, of Philadelphia, died Monday, December 15, 2014. He was born September 11, 1923 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Charles D. and Mary Koribanic Witzell. He was retired from the US Postal Service Operations Division in Philadelphia and was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He is survived by his brother, Charles E. "Bud" Witzell, nieces, Michele (Daniel) Trovato, Cynthia A. (George) Myers, and Susan (Frank) Pajkurich, nephew, Michael C. (Paul) Chiaverini, great-nieces, great-nephews and a great-great-niece. He was preceded in death by his companion of 40 years, Madeline "Kelly" Grimditch, sister, Martha Chiaverini, brothers, Lester F. Witzell, Sr., and Robert James Witzell, and a nephew, Lester F. "Butch" Witzell, Jr. There is no visitation. Funeral service with Military Honors took place Friday December 19 in St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles.
