Alice Rose Fenich, 94, of North Versailles, died Friday, December 12, 2014. She was born September 12, 1920 in Duquesne and was the daughter of the late Steve and Magdalene Lengyel Popojas. She was the wife of the late William Fenich who died November 15, 2002. Alice was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Christy Park and was also a member of the former St. Stephen's Catholic Church in McKeesport. Alice had worked for the former McKeesport Baking Co. which was owned by her husband's family. She was extremely close to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Over the years she enjoyed trips to Disney World, Austin, TX, and countless outings shopping, to the movies, and dining. She especially liked to sew, read romance novels and watch her favorite British comedy shows. Time spent with her was full of much laughter. She was the kindest, sweetest, most generous and thoughtful person who was deeply involved with her family. Her favorite holiday was Christmas for which she decorated her house like Santa's workshop. Her house was the warmest and most loving place to visit. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Jean "Sandy" Pausic, grandchildren, Jeffrey Tomko, Laura Tomko of Austin, TX, Amy (Tomko) Greenwood and her husband Paul of Liberty Hill, TX, and Lynn Pausic-Pita and her husband Alan, great-granddaughters, Allyson and Riley Pita, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Audrey Jane (Fenich) Tomko, son-law, Raymond C. Tomko, sister, Helen Schettler and brother William "Bill" Popojas. Friends are welcome Sunday, December 14 from 6-8:00 PM and Monday December 15 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 16, at 10:00 AM with The Rev. Vincent P. Velas, officiating.
