Raymond D Allen, Jr.

Raymond D. Allen, Jr., 85, of McKeesport, died Friday, October 31, 2014 at home. He was born April 4, 1929 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Raymond D. Allen, Sr. and the late Eleanor Helsel Allen. He was the husband of the late LaVerne Johnston Allen. He was retired from the former Camp Hill Corp. and was also Manager of the former Super Dollar in Boston. He is survived by his son, Gary (Nancy) Allen of Bethel Park, daughter, Suzanne (Richard) Kirk of McKeesport, grandchildren, Jessica (Darren) Mason of White Oak, Nathan Kirk and Michael Berry of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Ross (Jennifer) Kirk of Bethlehem, great-granddaughters, Julie Mason, and Rory and Sophia Kirk, companion, Georgia Baacke, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Cloyd Allen and granddaughter, Kasey Kirk. Friends are welcome Sunday November 2 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM., at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 8:00 PM, with the Rev. William D. Heaton, officiating. Burial will be private.
