Ursula L. Schmitt

Ursula L. Schmitt, 89, of Reserve Twp., died Thursday, October 23, 2014. She was born March 5, 1925 in Reserve Twp, and was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Lorraine Lutty Schmitt. Ursula was a member of the Mt. Vernon Community United Presbyterian Church, where she was superintendent of their Sunday School. She was also a long time member and treasurer of the Mt. Troy United Church of Christ. She was a member of the Allegheny County Retirees, International Training and Communications, and was a past president of the Academy of Arts and Sciences and a life member of the Republican National Committee. Ursula was a former Elizabeth Twp. Auditor and had worked for the Bradford Schools, Inc., the late Dr. William R. Hunt, MD., with the Allegheny County Coroner's Office, Cook Newspapers, Soldiers and Sailors Hall, and Tri-state Food News. She is survived by sons, John F. "Jay" (Susan) Muchow, III., of Reserve Twp., Mark-Richard (LynneDee) Muchow of Elizabeth Twp., and Keith Harold (Mike Smith) Muchow of Orlando, FL, brother, Arthur J. (Margaret) Schmitt, Jr. of Reserve Twp., grandchildren, Richelle (Joe) Orr, John F. (Allison) Muchow, IV., MaryElizabeth (Brian) Peppers, Stephanie (Jason) DeVono, Melinda (Jay) Bondarenka, and Butch (Edye) Citero, great-grandchildren, Mackenzi, Aubree, Melina, and two nephews, Arthur and Dale Schmitt. Friends are welcome Tuesday, October 28 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12 noon at the Mt. Troy United Church of Christ, 2023 East Homestead Road, Pittsburgh PA 15212.
