Robert Elliott Taylor

Robert "Bob" Elliott Taylor, 82, of Elizabeth Twp., died Sunday, October 19, 2014. He was born July 21, 1932 in North Versailles and was the son of the late Fred and Tillie Elizabeth Race Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Helen J. Case Taylor, son, Curt E. Taylor of Baldwin, daughter, Juneau R. Bowman of Ingram, grandchildren, Danny Guy Taylor, Robert E. Taylor, Zachary Guy Taylor, Olivia R. Bowman, and Dylan G. Bowman, great-grandchildren, Gabby and Jackson, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Guy Robert Taylor, brothers, Fred Taylor, Jr., and John W. "Jack" Taylor and sisters, Ruth M. Wilding Howden and Ola Mae Shotwell. Bob was a Conductor for Union Railroad/Transtar and retired after 42 1/2 years of service. He was also an Ironworker for Local # 3 with 25 years of service. Bob was a 50 year member of Solomon's Staircase Lodge No. 357 F&AM Buena Park, CA. Friends are welcome Thursday, October 23 from 12-1:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, October 23 at 1:00 PM. Inurnment will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery Praying Hands Columbarium, Elizabeth Twp.
