Carl McGowan Laird, 57, of White Oak, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at home. He was born in McKeesport and was the son of the late Lloyd F. Laird, Sr., and Grace Laird. Carl worked for Sturman-Larkin Ford and was also proprietor of the former Renzie Mini Mart and Your Mini Mart. Carl lived life to the fullest. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was an outgoing person always helping others. Carl served over 23 years as a member of the Rainbow Vol. Fire Co. He will be dearly missed. Carl is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judy Petrisko Laird, son, Carl Petrisko (Alison) Laird and granddaughter, Reagan Olivia Laird of White Oak, brothers, Mark (Amy) Laird of MD, and Vincent (Lisa) Laird of McKeesport, sisters, Kimberly (Michael) Camesi of Eighty Four, and Della (James) Sproat of Kittanning, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd F. Laird, Jr. Friends are welcome Saturday October 18 from 1-6 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (Everyone please dress casual). Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 6:00 PM, with Carl's brother-in-law, Deacon James Sproat, officiating. Private inurnment will be in the Jefferson Memorial Park Mausoleum, Pleasant Hills.
