Margaret Eileen Greenawald

Margaret Eileen Greenawald, 87, of Elizabeth Twp, died Friday, September 26, 2014 at home. She was born April 12, 1927 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late William and Anna Marie Mains Kelly. She was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth Twp., Elizabeth Twp. Senior Citizens, and the Golden Oldies Bowling League. She was also a charter member of the Central Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Henry Frank Greenawald, sons, Henry W. (Theresa) Greenawald, William J. (Grace) Greenawald and Robert T. (Beverly) Greenawald of Elizabeth Twp., daughter, Peggy A. (Frederick) Padget of Vernon, CT, sister, Eileen Vanyo of Rilton, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Greenawald, granddaughter, Michelle Diane Padget, sister, Anna Marie Kelly, and brothers, William and Daniel Kelly. Friends are welcome Sunday, September 28 from 6-9 PM and Monday September 29 from 10-11:00 AM, at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, September 29, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
