James K. Bucy, Sr

James K. Bucy, Sr.,76, of West Elizabeth, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014. He was born July 8, 1938 in West Elizabeth and was the son of the late John T. and Rose Behanna Bucy. He was a member of the Bible Alliance Church in West Newton, the Elizabeth Boat Club and was a past member of the Clairton Anglers Club in Lower Turkey Foot. He was a life member of the West Elizabeth Vol. Fire Co. and was a former Boy Scout Troop Leader. James was a US Marine Corps Veteran and was a 1956 graduate of Clairton High School. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Medvidovich Bucy, daughter, Dawn (Randy) Baldwin of West Newton, grandchildren, Dana Bucy of West Elizabeth, Randi (Beau) Sedlar of Smithton, Abby, Casey, and Benjamin Baldwin of West Newton, and a great-granddaughter, Eden Grace Sedlar. He was preceded in death by his son, James K. Bucy, Jr., who died April 25, 2014. Visitation and Funeral Service with Military Honors took place Saturday August 23 in the chapel of the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township.
