JoAnn Wilkie

JoAnn Wilkie, 81, of Christy Park, died Thursday, August 14, 2014. She was born May 28, 1933 in Liberty Borough and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Nagy Gulaskey. She was the wife of the late James S. Wilkie who died July 11, 2009. She was a member of the Christy Park United Methodist Church and retired from Penn State University in McKeesport. JoAnn was an avid baker and also enjoyed making soup each Wednesday at her Church. She is survived by her sons, Larry S. and his wife Louann Wilkie of Elizabeth Twp., and Tim P. and his wife Laura Wilkie of Lebanon, NJ, brother, Joseph W. and his wife Patricia Gulaskey of Irwin, grandchildren, Erin and her husband Jason Rishel, Brendan Wilkie and Katie Wilkie, great-granddaughter, Ellie Rishel, and nephews, Joseph and Ronald Gulaskey. Friends are welcome Sunday August 17 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday August 18 at 10:00 AM, with The Rev. Kathleen Barnhart, officiating. Interment will follow at the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
