John G. Hrubovcak

John G. Hrubovcak, 84, of Greenock, died Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Mount Lebanon. He was born March 9, 1930 in McKeesport and was the son of the late John G. and Mary Kucsmas Hrubovcak. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the PSSPA Union. John retired from the Elizabeth Forward School District after 26 years of service and was also an instructor at the former Pittsburgh Automation Institute. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Ann Lorber Hrubovcak, daughter, Brittany Jo (Michael) Ryan-Todd of Rockwell, TX, sons, John Paul Hrubovcak of CA., James Swift of Pittsburgh, J. Christopher (Wendy) Hrubovcak of San Diego, CA, and Joseph Dean Hrubovcak of Long Beach, CA, stepsons, Timothy Robert (Gayle) McCauley of Sewanee, Georgia, and Richard Donald (Florene) McCauley of Glassport, stepdaughters, Cathy Ann (Tony) Gahee of Marino Valley, CA, and Robyn Rae (William) Steinkopf of Liberty Borough, brothers, Paul (Darlene) Hrubovcak of Clairton and David Hrubovcak of McKeesport, 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Terrianne Moore and sisters, Mary Jane Bazzone and Joanne Shuber. Friends are welcome Monday August 4 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM, at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday August 5, at 10:00 AM, with The Rev. Donald Jones, officiating. Interment will follow at the Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park, Inc., North Huntingdon.
