David Robert Walls, 26, of Port Vue went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Born October, 16, 1987, in Jeannette, he was the beloved son of Roberta A. Hoover of White Oak, and David C. Walls of Elizabeth. David let no obstacles deter him as he attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and as he earned his Bachelors Degree in Business from California University of Pennsylvania. He was also a Certified National Fireman and had attained a Black Belt Degree in Hapkido. He went on to train and work in the Marcellus Shale Fracking industry. David often attended services with his beloved grandmother, Velma Walls at Park Baptist Church. His remarkable achievements attest to his diligence, perseverance, and willingness to work long hours in pursuit of the lofty goals which he had set for himself. He evoked enormous pride from his loved ones. David's greatest gift, however, was his ability to bring joy, laughter, and happiness to his adoring parents and family, and to all who were fortunate enough to share in his brief time on earth. It is impossible to remember a time when David wasn't wearing that mischievous smile, and lifting everyone's heart with his laughter. Great love has brought great pain. Our hearts ache for you, David, until we can be together again. There are thousands of memories of David, and every one of them is joyful, save this last one. David was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Forney Walls; his maternal grandparents, Russell J. and Gladys Hoover; and his uncle, Daniel Walls. In addition to his loving parents, David is survived by his beloved grandmother, Velma Walls of Port Vue; aunts, Patty Egri and her husband George of Champion, Rebecca Elnikar and her husband Edward of Scottdale, and Donna Walls of White Oak; uncles, Robert Hoover and wife Sharon of Hunker, and Russell A. Hoover and wife Regina of Hudson, Florida; and many loving cousins. Private visitation and funeral service took place Friday June 27 at the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Twp. The Rev. Rudy Mayak, officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Park Baptist Church, 749 Center Street, Versailles, PA 15132 or Susan G.
