Charles "Charlie" W. Byers

Charles "Charlie" W. Byers, 69, of Lincoln, died Monday, June 16, 2014. He was born October 28, 1944 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Charles E. and Mary J. Kelly Byers. He was proprietor of Byers Trucking and was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of West Mifflin Sportsman's Association, the National Street Rod Association, and the Youghiogheny Country Club. Charlie was a Lincoln Borough Councilman for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Buck Byers, son, Charles "Chuck" (Lainie) Byers, II of Dover and daughter, Kellie L. Byers of Lincoln, brothers, Donald (Janet) Byers of Versailles and Darrell (Kay) Byers of North Huntingdon, grandchildren, Corbin and Christian Byers, father-in-law, Ted (Karen) Buck of Liberty, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends are welcome Saturday July 5 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday July 5 at. 1:00 PM. Military Honors will follow.
