Frances Palma Parker

March 28, 1915 — June 4, 2014

A life well lived... Frances Palma Costa Parker, 99, of Ross Twp., formerly of Wilkinsburg, died Wednesday June 4, 2014 in Kane Regional Center, Ross Twp. She was born March 28, 1915 in River Rouge, MI, and was one of several children of the late Amodeo and Catherine Combetta Costa. She was the wife of the late Paul Parker. They had two daughters, Patricia (Jerry) Wright of Elyria, OH, and the late Carol Ann Mandigo. She is also survived by granddaughters, Carolyn Jean Klingensmith and Cathleen Frances Coudriet, great-granddaughter, Roberta Michelle Guido, granddog, Inky and grandcats, Whitehall and Grizabella. All these people were adored and loved by Frances. Frances and Paul made several trips to Las Vegas and several cruises they thoroughly enjoyed. She worked for H&R Block as a tax preparer and teacher for many years and was also an avid card player. She assisted in raising her granddaughters and her presence in their lives was truly a blessing. Frances always helped anybody she could, tending to her husband by herself for the last twenty years of his life with profound Parkinson's. Her example inspired her family to serve others. Nana used to make the best meals. She was an awesome cook, meticulous housekeeper, and all around wonderful human being. Her presence will be sorely missed by those who knew her. God played a major role in Frances life as she prayed the Rosary several times a day. A life well lived brings joy and love to all. There is no visitation. Memorial service and burial will be private. Arrangements are by the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Twp.
