Richard "Dick" Thomas Burns, Jr.

Richard "Dick" Thomas Burns, Jr. 74, of Elizabeth Twp., died Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born May 3, 1940 in Oakland and was the son of the late Richard Thomas and Marie Brown Burns. He was the former proprietor of 48 Auto Parts in Elizabeth Twp, and was a US Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Margery Lou Hacker Burns, son, Brian (Lisa) Burns of Hampden-Sydney, VA, daughters, Kristine Burns of South Fayette, Cindy (Greg) Barton of North Huntingdon, and Marcey Perkins of Buena Vista, brother, Robert (Marlyn) Burns of DE, grandchildren, Casey, Sean, Kyle, Ian, Craig, Melanie, Jess, Jamie (David), Dana (Steve), Amy (Adam), Melissa and Ryan, great-grandchildren, Timothy, Jason, and Makayla, and nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome Friday, May 23 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM, and Saturday May 24 from 12- 1:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday May 24 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at the Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.
