Mary Elizabeth Marsh

Mary Elizabeth Marsh, 82, of Elizabeth Twp, died at her son's home in Hempfield Twp., surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 30, 2014. She was born  April 5, 1931 in Morgantown, WV, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Tyorski Pancoast.  She was the wife of  the late James S. Marsh who died July 8, 2005. Mary was a member of Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church, Elizabeth Twp, and was retired from the Elizabeth Forward School District after 23 years of service.  She loved to shop, play the lottery and watch "Dancing with the Stars". Mary will always be remembered for her cooking, especially her potato salad and haluski. "Nanny" as she was lovingly called by her grandchildren, was always available to her children and grandchildren. She never missed a dance recital, swim meet or football game. She proudly shared all of her grandchildren's accomplishments, regardless of how big or small. She will be greatly missed by her family and will never be forgotten. She is survived by her sons, James C. and his wife Susan Marsh of Elizabeth Twp, Kenneth J. and his wife Rita Marsh of Hempfield Twp., and Daryl J. and his wife Laura Marsh of Greenock, grandchildren, Jenna, Donald, Justin, Kenneth, Lydia, Cody, Jasmine, Brittany, Arielle, and Taylor, great-grandchildren, Skyler, Elliot, Isabelle, Sierra, and Adrina, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Arthur and Frank Pancoast. Friends are welcome Tuesday, April 1 from 2-4 and 6-9:00 PM,  at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township.  Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, April 2, at 1:00 PM with The Rev.
