Harlan C. Sheppard

Harlan C. Sheppard, 84, of McKeesport, died Monday, February 17, 2014 at home. He was born July 19, 1929 in Morgantown, WV, and was the son of the late James C. and Icie Leah Wildman Sheppard He was the husband of 35 years of the late Leila Oneeda Eagle Sheppard who died July 19, 2012. Harlan was a retired crane man for US Steel Irvin Works and had served in the US Air Force from 1956-1962. He is survived by daughters, Sheila (Gary) Keener of North Versailles, Connie (Will) Harrison of Liberty Boro, Brenda Eversole of Dravosburg and Patricia (Tom) Keener of Ruffsdale, sons, Murrell (Debbie) Eagle of McKeesport, The Rev. Charles Eagle of Logan, Ohio, 2 nieces of Morgantown, WV, 18 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Eddie B. Eagle, grandsons, Chad A. Keener, Eddie B. Eagle, II., and Merle M. Eagle, sister, Della Cesa, and brother, Charles Sheppard. Friends are welcome Thursday February 20 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, February 20 at 1:00 PM with The Rev. Jody Dausey, officiating.
