James Alfred Michel

James Alfred Michel, 54, of Forward Twp, died Sunday, February 16, 2014. He was born February 5, 1960 in McKeesport and was the son of Alfred P. "Sonny" and Barbara King Michel of McKeesport. He was a member of the Whitehall Church of Christ and was a Fuel Coordinator for Corporate Jet in West Mifflin. James enjoyed hunting and fishing, and the Steelers and Penguins. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, James Alfred (Alicia) Michel, Jr., of Forward Twp, daughter, Melissa Michel of Glassport, step-daughter, Crystal Porter of Large, grandchildren, Kiara, Bailey and Hayleeann, step-grandchildren, Samantha, Emily and Tyler, sisters, Jenille "Chickie" Lillie of McKeesport, Sharon McGuire of Youngsville, and Donna Michel of North Versailles, brothers, Raymond (Karen) Michel of Westmoreland City and Donald "Butch" Michel of Forward Twp, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Wayne Michel who died September 12, 1976. There is no visitation. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 22 at 11:00 AM at the Whitehall Church of Christ, 215 Streets Run Road, Pittsburgh PA 15236. Private burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory.
