Stephen Spishock

Stephen R. Spishock, 86, of Greenock, died Friday, January 24, 2014. He was born May 9, 1927 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Stephen and Ellen Smedberg Spishock. He was retired from the former US Steel National Tube Works and was a US Navy Veteran serving in WWII. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Spishock, daughters, Debra Spishock of Swissvale and Darla J. (Robert) Lynn of White Oak, sons, Jeffrey L. Spishock and Scott A. (Dottie) Spishock of Greenock, grandchildren, Ashlee Lynn, Lindsay Spishock, Brice Lynn and Brianna Spishock, and nieces and nephews . He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Spishock, Jr. who died March 3, 1992 and sisters, Marie Sowa, Dorothy Nichols, and Jennie Elko. Friends are welcome Monday, January 27 from 2-8 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, January 28, at 11:00 AM with The Rev. Jody Dausey, officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
