Dalbert J. Dellapenna

Dalbert J. "Big Dale" Dellapenna, Sr., 64, of McKeesport, died Friday, December 20, 2013 at home. He was born February 3, 1949 in McKeesport and was the son of the late James Dellapenna and the late Eva Ensign Dellapenna Ritchie and was the stepson of the late David Ritchie. He had worked for Edward L. Kemp Co., and was proprietor of the former Mon-Valley Sportsman's Association. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Deborah M. "Little Debbie" Prontiker, sons, Dalbert (Janice), Matthew (Lori), Jason, and Brandon (Ashley) Dellapenna of McKeesport, grandchildren, Jenna, Gina, Dylan, Cheyenne, Travis, Ella, and Gavin, nieces and nephews, and friend, Robert Landymore. He was preceded in death by brothers, James, William and Richard Dellapenna and nephew, Raymond Dellapenna. Friends are welcome Monday, December 23 from 4-9 PM, at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. A Service of Remembrance will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, December 24 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
