Helen Jane Prontiker

Helen Jane Prontiker, 87, of Port Vue, died Sunday, December 15, 2013. She was born January 1, 1926 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Kish Prontiker. She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, McKeesport. Helen was a 1946 graduate of the McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing and was a retired RN Anesthetist. She lived and worked in Missouri from 1947 to 2007. She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Prontiker of Port Vue, brothers, Stephen Prontiker and William (Denise) Prontiker of Elizabeth Township, sister-in-law, Lorraine Prontiker of McKeesport, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Frances Kerr, Margaret Prontiker, and Patricia Reitz, and brothers, Mike and John Prontiker. There is no visitation. Graveside service and burial were held Thursday December 19 at the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, North Versailles. The Rev. Donald Voss, officiated.
