Dorothy Jean Davies

Dorothy Jean Davies, 76, of Greenock, died Sunday, September 1, 2013. She was born March 30, 1937 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Albert John and Velda Mae Heep Hoffman. She was wife of the late Richard James Davies who died August 22, 2005. Dorothy was a member and former secretary of the Greenock United Methodist Church and had also worked for Westinghouse. She is survived by her son, Brian Patrick Davies and his wife Christina Renee of Elizabeth Twp, grandchildren, Alexis Kassandra Davies and Brian Patrick Davies Jr, sister, Velda Zacharie of Allentown, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Daniel and Harry Hoffman. Friends are welcome Wednesday, September 4 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, September 5, at 10:00 AM with The Rev. Ed Pope, officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
