Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Harvey

Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Harvey, 83, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Port Vue, died Sunday, August 25, 2013. She was born March 19, 1930 in Pittsburgh, and was the daughter of the late George J. and Katherine Malone Husk. She was a graduate of Indiana University and had taught at the former St. Joseph Catholic School in Port Vue. She was an avid Penguins and Steeler fan. She is survived by daughters, Barbara J. (Denis) Korinko of North Huntingdon and Kathleen A. (Randy) Wassel of Boston, brother, James M. (Eliane) Husk of Kennesaw, GA, grandsons, Robert Daniel (Jacquelyn) Karnes and Dylan James Wassel, great-granddaughters, Ava Scarlett Karnes and Alexandra Grace Karnes, a niece, Jane French and nephew, George (Penney) Husk. Private service took place Wednesday August 28 in the chapel of the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Inurnment followed in the Round Hill Cemetery Columbarium, Elizabeth Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to White Oak Animal Safe Haven, 2295 Lincoln Way White Oak PA 15131 or Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, 1 North Linden St. Duquesne PA 15110.
