Marlene Pinkerton, 64, of Flinton, formerly of Munhall, died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at home. She was born May 30, 1949 in Homestead, daughter of the late Peter K. and Mildred A. Toth Boot. Marlene was a Geriatric Nurse and had worked at Altoona Center for Nursing Care and had worked previously worked for Eldercrest Nursing Home. She is survived by her husband, Paul R. Pinkerton, daughters, Trudi (Sean) Zeiler of Munhall, Holly (Jack) Breznai of West Mifflin and Jenny Dvorak of Monongahela, grandchildren, Corey and Reanna Pinkerton, Jeremy Zeiler, Zackery Breznai and Marlee Dvorak, special niece, Candace Boot and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Kemp and Wayne Boot. Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township on Tuesday, July 30 at 7:00 PM In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at 412-919-1100.
