Carolyn L. Ward

Carolyn L. Ward, 66, of Elizabeth Twp, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 in UPMC McKeesport Hospital. She was born July 7, 1947 in McKeesport, daughter of the late Walter E. and Rosalie Berstling Tokar. She was a member of St. Mary's Romanian Church, Christy Park and was a retired LPN at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her husband, James J. Ward, daughter, Kimberly and her husband Joseph Katarski of Greensburg, son, James C. and his wife Kimberly Ward of Scott Twp, sister, Lynne (the late Edward) Solada of Liberty, brother, John "Rob" and his wife Tammy Tokar of Elizabeth Twp, grandchildren, David, Madison, Makenna and Jessica, and nieces, Erin and Samantha, and nephews, John, Christopher, and James. Friends are welcome Thursday, July 11 from 7-9 PM and Friday July 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Mary's Romanian Church on Saturday, July 13, at 10:00 AM with Father Paul Voida, officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
