Beatrice Turek

Beatrice Turek, 84, of Port Vue, died Sunday, July 7, 2013 in UPMC McKeesport Hospital. She was born December 14, 1928 in McKeesport, daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Najalchski Borkowski. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Johnston and the late Joseph Turek. Beatrice was a member of St. Mark Parish in Port Vue and had worked for the Liberty Dairy Store in Liberty Borough. She was the youngest and last survivor of 8 siblings. She was preceded in death by sisters, Elsie Langett, Gertrude Castle, Margaret Halovich and Stella and Mary Borkowski and brothers, John Burke, Frank Berkosky and Stanley Borkowski. She is survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great-nephews. Friends are welcome Wednesday, July 10 from 9-11 AM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Boston, Elizabeth Township. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, July 10, at 11:00 AM with The Rev. Jeff Wylie, officiating. Private interment will be in the Corpus Christy Sacred Heart Cemetery, Port Vue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Three Rivers Hospice Patient Care Fund, 1195 Jacks Run Road, North Versailles, PA 15137.
