Leona Wigand Bernick

Leona Wigand Bernick, 75 years old, of McKeesport, passed away on June 17, 2013, at Shadyside Hospital. Leona is survived by her mother Blanche Skoczylas Wigand Ciochio of Manor, PA; her sister Faith Hunt of McKeesport; her daughter Lauren (Richard) Bernick and grandson Nicholaus of Bristow, VA; numerous nieces and nephews including Jaylee (Bill) Trzyna of N. Versailles; Keith (Liz) Hunt of N. Salem, IN; numerous great nieces and nephews including Lea and Kara Myers of Elizabeth; and numerous friends including those as far away as Italy and Croatia - where candles were lit in her memory - and even Thailand. Leona's father Leo (aka Whitey) Wigand of Seminole, FL, and her brother John (Pat) Wigand of Boerne, TX, predeceased her. We are grateful for Leona's love and influence and how she always took care of us. We miss and love you - but you are forever part of us! Ona, you are the best grandma - xo, Nicholaus!
