Norma Jean Piergrossi

Norma Jean Piergrossi, 69, of Neenah, WI, formerly of Greenock, died Thursday, May 23, 2013 at home. She was born August 16, 1943 in McKeesport, daughter of the late Arnold and Vera Giles Backstrom. She was the wife of the late Nick Piergrossi who died September 11, 1999. Norma was a member of the Greenock United Methodist Church, the Greenock Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and was a former assistant with Greenock Girl Scout Troop 51198. She retired from the former Olympia Giant Eagle and was a former assistant post master of the Greenock Post Office and former manager of Virginia Manor and Seven Fields Apartments. She is survived by her daughter, Christina (Paul) Twale of Greenock, sons, Nick J. (Myra) Piergrossi of Neenah, WI, and Anthony J. (Tiffany) Piergrossi of Greenock, sister, Vivien (Ronald) Andrascik of Greenock, her grandchildren that she loved so much, Brandon Twale, Ashlyn Twale, Carolyn Piergrossi, Chloe Piergrossi and Faith Twale, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends are welcome Tuesday, May 28 from 6-8 PM and Wed May 29 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, May 30, at 10:00 AM with The Rev. Diane E.M. Gobbel, officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
