Rita Mae Holub

Rita Mae Gallagher Holub, 82, of McKeesport, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born July 30, 1930 in McKeesport, the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Josephine Pittner Gallagher. She was the wife of the late John J. Holub. Rita was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, McKeesport, and was a volunteer at the McKeesport Heritage Center. She is survived by sons, John Bradley "J.B." Holub, Jeffrey J. Holub and Jordan David Holub of McKeesport, "Best Friend, Dan", sister, Arlene Gallagher of Pittsburgh, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, P. Joseph Gallagher who died April 13, 2013, and sisters, Pauline Dudek and JoAnne Mitchell. Friends are welcome Saturday, May 4 from 5-8 PM, and Sunday, May 5 from 2-4 ,6-8 PM, at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church on Monday, May 6, at 10:00 AM with The Rev. Stephen Kresak, officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles.
