Paul Zuro, 86, of Greenock, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013. He was born February 11, 1927 in North Belle Vernon and was the son of the late Nicholas and Anna Mitus Zuro. He was a member of Aliquippa Lodge # 375 F & AM of Pittsburgh and also was a member of the Youghiogheny Country Club. Paul was a retired Plant Superintendent from the former Fisher Body Division of General Motors Corp. in West Mifflin and was a WWII Army Veteran. He received the Army of Occupation Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. Paul was an avid golfer. He was a graduate of North Belle Vernon High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rose Marie Theis Zuro, daughter, Che (Nancy) Zuro Whiting and her husband, Christopher of Liberty, Utah, sisters, Mary Jones and Doris Booth of North Belle Vernon and Ann Mezoff of Bel Air, MD, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Olga Zuro, Jean Astle, and Eve Stiranka, and brothers, Stephan, William, John, Michael and Peter Zuro. Friends are welcome Thursday March 7, from 6-8 PM., and Friday March 8 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday March 9 , at 12:00 Noon, with The Rev. David Lesko, officiating. Entombment with Military Honors will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, Elizabeth Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to Women's Place, 410 Ninth Street, McKeesport PA 15132.
