William Edward Richel

William "Bill" Edward Richel, 65, of McKeesport, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013. He was born March 4, 1947 in McKeesport and was the son of the late William and Lillian "Betty" Cottom Richel. He was a member of the Boston United Methodist Church and the Eleventh Ward Welfare Association. Bill was a Army Veteran and served in Vietnam. He is survived by his son, William (Becky) Richel of Irwin, step-daughter, Jennifer (Matthew) Whetsell of White Oak, sister, Gail (Earl) Thorne of Cranberry Twp., brother, Craig A. Richel of Boston, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends are welcome Sunday, January 6 from 2-4 and 6-8, at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, January 7, 2013, at 10:00 am. with The Rev. Diane E.M. Gobbel, officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
