Johnny Lee Sanders, 65, of Elizabeth, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012. He was born January 14, 1947 in Brownstown, IN, and was the son of the late Cecil Otis Sanders and the late Rosella Mae Lawrence Sanders Duncan. He was a member of River Hill Church of Christ in Forward Twp., White Oak American Legion and the Grand Square Dancing Club. Johnny was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a stone cutter and carver and was a retired Plant Manager for Prada Stone Company in Boston. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. "Dottie" Edmondson Sanders, daughters, Tammy Wynette (Jeffrey) Firda of Lincoln, and Jamie Lynn (Steven) Pelcharsky of Elizabeth Twp, son, Kenneth L. Tolbert of White Oak, brothers, Joseph (Elaine), Larry (Glenda), Barney (Lorena) Tyler, Roger and Paul Duncan of Mitchell, IN, grandchildren, Johnathan (Afton), Avonlea, Jake, Lexi, Adam, Timothy and Alex, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Johnny L. Sanders and a sister, Bonnie Torrence. Friends are welcome Thursday, December 13 from 6-9:00 pm, at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held on Friday December 14 at 10:00 am in the River Hill Church of Christ, 2105 River Hill Road, Monongahela, with Pastor Paul M. Eisaman, officiating.
