Dorothy LaRue Gardner, 84, of Greenock, died Friday, November 23, 2012. She was born May 18, 1928 in Greenock and was the daughter of the late James and Ada Bramhall Holsing. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Boston, and the Knights of Pythias, there, She was also a member of the Elizabeth Twp Senior Citizens. She had worked for Stratigos Catering and the former Immel's Store. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, William Russell Gardner, daughters, Lois (Michael) Kerklo of Seville, OH, and Kimberly (Joseph) Tassone of Kennerdell, brother, Raymond (Carol) Holsing of Elizabeth Twp, grandchildren, Tammy, Kelly, Jennifer, Joshua, Jason, Shane, and Cole, great-grandchildren, Kristen, Lauren, Abby, Nathan, Collin, and Coltin, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Gardner and sister, Vera Graham. Friends are welcome Monday November 26 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday November 27, at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery Garden Mausoleum in Elizabeth Twp.
